OUR VALUES.

Not just words, but the feelings we live, breathe and run by. Our values are firmly within our bright orange hearts and guide everything we do.

WE LOVE POSITIVITY

(but not toxic positivity).

We are positive people who love what we do, and so do our runners! We use mistakes and bad experiences as learning opportunities. It’s ok not to be ok, but we advocate running and a glass-half-full mindset as a way to pick ourselves back up.

WE’RE ACTIVE

(but we don’t care about pace).

Our experiences are both mentally and physically active and so are we. We firmly believe that the World would be a better place if everyone had some sort of sport or fitness in their lives. We will be active in working with other local communities, charities, partners and individuals who share our values.

WE’RE INCLUSIVE

(within our special runners niche).

Whether you are a local or visiting, beginner or seasoned runner, bona fide Brummie or new to the city. EVERYONE is welcome to run with us.

WE CELEBRATE DIVERSITY

(& hate tokenism).

From our run locations and must-see spots, to our runners and us as a team, we value people with different ideas, strengths, interests and backgrounds. We’re committed to championing running and all its benefits as an activity for all.

WE’RE LEARNERS

(not know-it-alls).

Yes we bloody love Birmingham, yes we know our cobs from our baps, but no we might not know on what date the 262nd brick was laid at the Council House. We think a big smile, a pasta-bowl-full of passion and a charismatic personality is more important to deliver a world-class running tour than a History PhD.

(We do things properly, but)

we HAVE FUN.

Alongside all our meaningful purpose, we want to have fun. We know life can be hard and there’s a lot of doom and gloom about, so we always want Run of a Kind to be a relief from that.

That’s not to say we won’t go deep or shy away from controversial topics (quite the opposite actually). It means we always come at things with a positive spin, stay open-minded, act instead of moan and ensure others feel uplifted around us.
